Right now I’m glad the vet is only 3.5 blocks away. Scout, not so much. Fort Greene, if you see someone in a red coat struggling with a faux Burberry pet-carrying case (I know, I know, it’s all they had at the store) which seems to be emitting unearthly pleading wails…stop me and say hi!

“Tricia Tanaka is Dead” - Season 3, Episode 10 You know what? I LIKE this episode. It provides nearly everything we need for a palate cleanser after the disastrous previous episode, even if it does little to advance the main story or address the island’s mysteries. Remember that stack of books, some of which I purchased close to four years ago and still, at the close of 2008, had not read yet — that stack of books that I resolved to read in 2009? Yeah. I didn’t finish any of them. Resolutions roll over, right? I say they do.

So, AT&T, you don’t want my money? Fine.* Seriously, though, all you NYC people who have iPhones and insist that your coverage is fine with no problems because all I ever hear is “I never have any problems with my iPhone”: Really? No outage or dropped calls or times when you can’t send/receive texts or times when you don’t get calls or they go straight to voice...

It’s 4:10 AM and I’ve been up for an hour. The usual reasons: worry and noise (thanks, garbage truck and driver who decided to honk at the garbage truck because the garbage handlers weren’t working fast enough). Now I can’t decide whether to go back to sleep and risk being really groggy later this morning (because it always works like that, doesn’t it, the going back...
