Big fat cheers to the gang at Elly’s Market, who spent 2.5 hours getting here from Flushing to open their store so I could get the only kind of cat food Scout is remotely interested in eating.  And another big fat cheers to all the people shoveling right now.

Turns out, Scout doesn’t really need dental surgery. Turns out, Scout has liver cancer. Inoperable. While it’s some consolation to know that this couldn’t have been deduced from his most recent bloodwork, it’s a pretty big shock to go from treating his kidney disease and hoping for a year or two more with him to gearing up to say goodbye within a matter of weeks.
