I'm a Brooklynite by way of the Twin Cities. I write and edit stuff, make things with yarn, play video games, watch TV (the usual Tumblr fare), and read mostly mysteries and YA. I've got a cat named Gypsy after one of the robots on MST3K, and a cat we call Jayne after Firefly's Jayne Cobb (he does not have a hat--yet). Oh, and I just had a kid, like, yesterday. So yeah. Hi.
According to this site, all the NYC courts are closed today. Because I have a freakishly Leslie Knope-level sense of civic duty, I tried calling two emergency numbers to confirm that I would not have to appear today. One number was out of service, the other just rang and rang. So yeah, I’m staying home today.
Which means I stand a very good chance of finishing the sweater I’ve been working on, except for sewing on the buttons because I don’t have the right ones yet.
