Scored on two counts:
1. The Thriller float.
2. The Richard Simmons Brigade, followed about 20 minutes later by a lone Richard Simmons, separated from his herd, meandering around with a pack of zombies.
(Zombie Richard Simmons = next year’s costume.)
The Ferris Bueller float could have been a lot more awesome if three things had happened: their sound system was better, they weren’t right behind a marching band that drowned them out, and if they’d kept the float the way it was in the movie. That is, Cameron and Sloane should’ve been walking alongside the float, not been dancing on it. (OK, Cameron wasn’t dancing at all, which was funny. But still. It may be picky, but these things matter, dammit.)
(Actually, next year we’re going to be in the parade, on a massive recreation of the Match Game. Seriously. We have 363 days to pull this off. Who’s with me?)
